Klaiber WS2 collets

Which are the collets that uses the Klaiber WS2 tool grinder? I found the answer few days ago while looking at ebay.de. A seller was offering a Klaiber grinder. In the machine pictures there was this one: It is a 6mm collet for the klaiber. The picture has the answer!! Klaiber collets are of type 317E. Some days ago appeared in ebay a great Leinen MLZ 4 SB lathe to sell. The pictures in ebay also showed a manual for the lathe. This model is close to the type of my lathe. I bought in german ebay a four jaws independent chuck with DIN 55022 number 4 fitting. This was not the kind of independent chuck I prefer for the Leinen lathe. I would prefered those kind of “old” chucks which are lighter than the modern ones. Having found no provider for these lighter chucks, finally I went for this one. The chuck can be seen in this picture: The chuck was in pretty good condition.

I posted the last info many moths ago. During this time I have been commissioned for a non-permanent job position that consumes part of my free time. This and some personal issues have mostly maintained me out of my hobbies. In a series of posts that will follow this one, I will try to detail some of the activities that I carried out during this time.
